이은희 인하대 구매자학과 교수는 “구글 동일한 글로벌 온/오프라인 산업자도 수입에만 신경쓰지, 문제가 발생했을 때 무난한 대처를 하지 않는 때가 적지 않다”면서 “구글 소액결제 케이스가 많아지고 있습니다면 구글이 최대로 제일 먼저 할 일은 이런 일이 또 생성하지 않게 조치를 취하는 것”이라고 전했다.

작년 금감원은 소액결제 현금화 등 불법금융선전을 방송통신심의위원회에 요청해 사이트 폐쇄와 게시글 삭제, 계정 중지 등을 확정했지만 ‘언론 보도에는 대응하지 않았다. 금감원 관계자는 “언론의 보도는 선전으로 규정할 수는 없어 보여서 판단쉽지 않은 면이 있습니다”고 하였다.
